Grandma Judy

Well, Grandma Judy flies back home to Iowa tomorrow. We have enjoyed having her around off & on for the last couple of weeks! She has been at our place during the week but on weekends has been seeing the other kids. The first weekend she spent in Moses Lake (well, technically she spent AT Moses Lake... if she spent any of it IN Moses Lake there are no pictures to prove it) with Logan & Mikey. Then last weekend she drove down and stayed with Bill & Alisa in Tillamook, OR. It was sure nice she got to see the grandkids. Dakota especially enjoyed going to the Mariners game right after grandma arrived and then Marina had a special "moment' when grandma took her to her orchestra concert last week and they stopped for ice cream on the way home. Yesterday she took the kids and me to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory in Tacoma which was really fun too... I don't think I've been there since last time she was here! It was a very nice visit. Seems, though, like there were so many things going on & she was off visiting people so much that even though she was here 2 weeks we didn't get to really see her very much! Next time Grandma will have to come out for three weeks!
Thanks for visiting and staying with us, Grandma Judy!

Mariners Game With Grandma Judy

Marina is camping with her friends for Sydney's 12th birthday this weekend. But Friday night Dakota and Carol went to the Mariners game with Grandma Judy who is visiting from Iowa. The Mariners were playing the Twins. Unfortunately they lost in the 10th inning with a score of 1 to 2. But it was a nice night to be outside and they had a good time!
They arrived at the game really early because it was Train Night. So they wanted to make sure they could get a collectible train car.
Which also left plenty of time for Dakota to play around on the playground.
Would the real Ichiro please stand up?
Dakota also got to go meet the Moose!
Looks like the game started getting a little bit loooooong!
...and chilllllly!
They had a good time though! Safeco Field is a beautiful park and it was a beautiful night to be outside with mommy and grandma. Thanks for taking Kota to the ball game, Grandma Judy!
